Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This policy is written to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will answer in plain language.

1. Who we are

OP Inference is operated by Original Pictures Technologies, Inc. (“OP Inference”, “we”, “us”), a corporation registered in Delaware, United States, at 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713, United States.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit opinference.com, create an account, or send requests through our API (together, the “Services”).

2. Zero retention of inference content

We operate as a routing layer. We do not store and do not log the content of the requests you send through the API: prompts, images, audio, video inputs or the generations returned to you.

A data class is attached to every artifact and a retention class to every request, and those classes are enforced at each place data could otherwise come to rest. Purge is verified on an hourly schedule rather than assumed.

We do not train models on your traffic, and we do not pass your traffic to third parties for that purpose. Upstream providers have their own terms; where a provider’s default behaviour differs, the difference is reflected in the routing policy you select on your key.

3. What we do collect

To run an account and bill it accurately, we collect only administrative data:

  • Account data: name, work email, company details and billing information needed to create an account and issue an invoice.
  • Usage metadata: one durable record per generation covering model id, route taken, token or unit counts, latency, status and cost. This is metadata about the call, not the content of it.
  • Operational logs: authentication events, rate-limit and abuse-protection records. These carry no prompt or output content and are retained only as long as needed to run the service securely.
  • Product analytics: with your consent, which pages and dashboard features you use and errors the site hits in your browser, linked to your account and organisation when you are signed in. Without consent, anonymous page counts only. See our cookie policy.

4. Legal bases and your rights

Where the GDPR applies, we process account and usage metadata to perform our contract with you, and operational logs under our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and secure. Product analytics rests on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie policy.

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

5. Data residency and transfers

Keys can be pinned to EU-only routing. When they are, inference for those keys is served by endpoints in the EU, and a request that cannot be served in region fails rather than being routed elsewhere.

Account and billing records are held by Original Pictures Technologies, Inc. in the United States. Where personal data moves between regions we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. A current sub-processor list is available on request from [email protected].

6. Processors we rely on

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share administrative data only with the processors needed to operate the business (payment processing, invoicing, error monitoring, email and product analytics — PostHog, US Cloud), each bound by a data processing agreement.

Upstream inference providers receive the content of a request in order to answer it. Which providers are eligible for a given key is determined by the routing policy and model allowlist you set.

7. Retention

Inference content: not retained. Usage metadata and invoices: kept for as long as the account is open and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting law requires. Operational logs: short-lived and purged on a schedule. Account data: deleted on request, subject to those legal retention duties.

8. Children

The Services are intended for businesses and developers. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

9. Changes

We will post any material change here and, for account holders, give notice by email before it takes effect.
